Each catalog in the app is fully searchable by keyword, including product name, number or description. An interactive table of contents enables you to go directly to a product page with one click. 2012 Buildings at Risk Summit

Simpson Strong-Tie is the Overall Summit Sponsor for the "Buildings at Risk | Earthquake Loss Reduction Summit" on October 11, 2012 in Los Angeles. Hosted by the Structural Engineers Association of Southern California, this annual event is a precursor to the "Great California Shakeout" happening on October 18 (www.shakeout.org). The event aims to increase the awareness of seismic risk and spur action. The summit will bring together structural engineers and other industry professionals to discuss strategies, programs and policies to help strengthen vulnerable buildings and creating more resilient communities. Largest Shake Table Test Research Awarded
Raymond C. Reese Prize

In 2009, Simpson Strong-Tie collaborated on the NEESWood Capstone project in Japan, the world's largest earthquake shake table test. A research paper based on the project's testing and results, "Experimental Seismic Response to a Full-Scale Six-Story Light-Frame Wood Building," co-authored by Steve Pryor, M.ASCE, International Director of Building Systems for Simpson Strong-Tie, along with John W. van de Lindt, M.ASCE, Shiling Pei, M.ASCE, H. Shimizu and H. Isoda, was awarded the 2011 Raymond C. Reese Research Prize by the American Society of Civil Engineers. The prize is awarded annually to a notable achievement in research related to structural engineering, with special consideration for how the research can be used. The award was presented at the 2012 Structures Congress in Chicago on March 29-31.
