Introducing Strong-Rod™ Systems for Seismic and Wind Design

The new Simpson Strong-Tie® Strong-Rod™ continuous rod tiedown systems feature new code-listed components and optimized rod-run assemblies for seismic and wind design for light-frame, mid-rise wood construction.

The Strong-Rod Anchor Tiedown System for shearwall overturning restraint and the Strong-Rod Uplift Restraint System for roofs offer construction professionals more economic solutions for multi-story structures that must withstand seismic activity or wind events.

The new Strong-Rod Systems Design Guide helps educate specifiers on recommended steps for designing and specifying continuous rod tiedown systems. It contains key considerations, components, design checklists and methods of specification for the Strong-Rod Systems. An online component on the Simpson Strong-Tie website complements the Strong-Rod Systems Design Guide and features interactive graphics and full product details.
