New AnchorsThe 2016 Anchoring and Fastening Systems for Concrete and Masonry catalog (C-A-2016) features 340 pages of anchor systems products for use in concrete and masonry. Catalog sections have been reconfigured to make it easier to locate products, and there is an enhanced Appendix section featuring supplemental information and design calculations. New Sizes of HHRC Heavy Hip-Ridge Connectors

Several new sizes of the Simpson Strong-Tie® HHRC heavy hip-ridge connectors are now available to accommodate additional hip and ridge beam connections. The latest models offer greater design strength and flexibility.

The HHRC is a higher-capacity version of the HRC hip-ridge connector designed for heavier loads. Both the new and existing HHRCs can be used with structural composite lumber, glulam and solid sawn lumber. The 12-gauge HHRC is field-slopeable up to 12:17 (35°), which accommodates a 12:12 (45°) roof pitch. When installed with Simpson Strong-Tie® Strong-Drive® SD Connector screws, the HHRC maintains higher allowable loads than HRCs that use nails. An open-back ridge connection allows elevation adjustment, and a field-adjustable hip slope facilitates easier installation.

RCKW Kneewall Connector for Cold-Formed Steel Construction

RCKWSimpson Strong-Tie introduces the new RCKW rigid connector, which is designed to provide optimal rotational resistance at the base of exterior kneewalls and roof parapets as well as interior partial-height walls. The RCKW offers a unique anchor-hole pattern that permits anchorage to both concrete and structural steel, with the larger hole designed to accommodate 1/2"-diameter concrete screws and wedge anchors, such as the Simpson Strong-Tie® Titen® HD® screw anchor and Strong-Bolt® 2 wedge anchor. The RCKW clips have been tested as an entire assembly to save design time. Used with the Simpson Strong-Tie heavy 7-gauge RCKWS stiffener (sold separately), the RCKW connector provides the industry's highest strength and stiffness values.
