New Speed Clean™ Dust Extraction System

The new Speed Clean™ Dust Extraction System is a comprehensive drill bit-and-vacuum system that reduces dust while producing precise, clean holes in concrete that are code tested with Simpson Strong-Tie® SET-XP® and AT-XP® anchoring adhesives. Developed in conjunction with Simpson Strong-Tie alliance partner Robert Bosch Power Tool Corp., the innovative Speed Clean system delivers clean holes with 20% greater speed than conventional bits, saving up to 50% in labor time.

The Speed Clean drill bits are built around an internal dust channel that extracts concrete dust during the drilling process, helping to keep the jobsite cleaner while saving time and money over traditional drilling and blow-brush-blow hole preparation methods. Solid carbide tips embedded in a steel head offer robust four-cutter geometry that enhances bit speed and life.

New Sizes, Quantities for Stainless-Steel
Deck-Drive™ DWP WOOD SS Screw

Simpson Strong-Tie now offers its stainless-steel Deck-Drive™ DWP Wood SS screw with both trim and flat heads in a greater variety of sizes and lengths, expanding its use for nearly all exterior wood-to-wood fastening. Available in corrosion-resistant Type 305 and Type 316 stainless steel, the DWP Wood SS screw provides fast and easy installations in coastal and high-exposure environments.

The screw can be used for decks, docks, boardwalks, and general exterior wood construction where extra weather resistance and long-lasting quality are critical. The specially-designed sharp point and unique "box" threads greatly reduce driving torque and allow more screws to be driven on a single battery charge, providing up to a 35% increase in screw driving productivity.

SCHA Slide-Clip Connector Launches

Simpson Strong-Tie introduces the SCHA slide-clip connector for cold-formed steel (CFS) applications. The SCHA is an ideal solution for panelized or stick-frame construction where CFS bypass framing anchors to the top of a floor slab or the bottom flange of a steel beam.

The SCHA slide-clip connector features tabulated design values for anchorage that help mitigate risk and provide ease of specification. It also includes pre-punched anchor holes that eliminate the need for pre-drilling and help ensure accurate anchor placement.
