Redesigned Structural Screw Ensures Faster Starts

Our Strong-Drive® SDWS Timber screw is the perfect screw for many wood-to-wood and engineered-wood product applications. The easy-to-install, code-listed screw is a high-strength alternative to through bolts and lag screws. The SDWS Timber screw has been newly redesigned with a SawTooth™ Type-17 point that ensures fast starts, and its thread pattern reduces torque and eliminates the need for predrilling in most applications. The double-barrier coating provides corrosion resistance for structural connections, including ledgers and beam-to-beam connections. The low-profile washer head provides greater bearing surface and allows for connector hardware to be installed over it.
