Designed for Faster Installation and a Flush Finish
The new SHH steel header hanger box header is used to support traditional CFS box headers that are fabricated with top and bottom tracks, as well as large-flange lay-in headers common in curtain-wall construction. The SHH is engineered to reduce installation time and cost in your curtain-wall construction projects with fewer screws and a flush profile that minimizes drywall buildup.

Learn how you can save installation time and cost.

New Hinged Connector for Modular Roofing
The new MMHC hinged roof connector provides the pivot action that modular builders need to build stick-frame roofs with rafters that can be folded flat for shipping. This connector features an innovative hinge that easily rotates from an open position to folded, and has been tested and load rated in multiple directions. The offset nail pattern allows for installation on both sides of the roof rafter assembly. With no measuring or predrilling required, the MMHC hinged roof connector saves installation time.

MPBZ Now Available in Larger Size
MPBZ
The new larger size of the MPBZ moment post base supports 8x8 wood posts. This greater capacity provides Designers and contractors with added design options and an opportunity to create outdoor structures with wider openings and more unobstructed views. The new patent-pending MPBZ is the first post base specifically designed to provide moment resistance for columns or posts. An innovative overlapping sleeve design encapsulates the post, helping to resist rotation around its base. It is also available for 4x4 and 6x6 posts.

Do your projects include carports, fences, pergolas or decks? Watch our on-demand webinar to learn more about the search for a moment-resistant post base, how we designed and tested it, and what it took to get code listed.

New DGH Fire Wall Hanger with Skewed or Offset Top Flange
DGH Fire Wall Hanger
The DGH fire wall hanger is part of the new DG fire wall hanger series for connecting floor trusses and joists to wood stud walls. Now all models of the DGH hanger may be ordered with a skew angle of up to 45° or with the top flange offset left or right. Based on customer feedback, these additions provide more options for multi-family construction and offer solutions for the two most common nonstandard connections builders encounter on the jobsite. As with all hangers in the series, the DGH hanger easily installs on a two-hour wood stud fire wall during framing and is fire-resistant F (flame) and T (temperature) rated.

Webinar: Learn About FRCM and Earn CEUs
WEBINAR FRCM
Engineers are invited to join us live on Wednesday, February 14, for the third interactive webinar in the Simpson Strong-Tie Composite Strengthening Systems™ Best Practices Series: “Introducing Fabric-Reinforced Cementitious Matrix (FRCM).”

FRCM combines high-performance sprayable mortar with a carbon-fiber grid to create a thin structural layer that strengthens without significantly increasing a structure’s weight or volume. With FRCM, contractors can effectively repair, protect and strengthen concrete and masonry structures in a single application for a fraction of the installed cost of traditional shotcrete retrofits. Continuing education credits will be offered for this webinar. Register today.
