TITEN HD
The First 5/8" and 3/4" Stainless-Steel Screw Anchors
We’re excited to announce the expansion of our Type 316 stainless-steel Titen HD® screw anchor line, making us the first manufacturer to offer stainless-steel screw anchors in 5/8" and 3/4" diameters.

The added diameters give engineers access to higher-load-capacity screw anchors for use in severely corrosive environments. Until the release of the new diameters, engineers designing for corrosive conditions were forced to use traditional stainless-steel expansion anchors, which require much greater spacing from edges and between anchors. The stainless-steel Titen HD screw anchor is now available in diameters of 3/8", 1/2", 5/8" and 3/4" and is code listed in IAPMO UES ER-493 (concrete) and ICC-ES ESR-1056 (masonry). Watch the video to learn more about the stainless-steel Titen HD screw anchor.

What is FRCM?
Fabric-reinforced cementitious matrix (FRCM) combines a high-performance sprayable cementitious matrix with a carbon-fiber grid to create a thin structural layer that will not add significant weight or volume to the existing structure. Learn how it can be used to repair and strengthen concrete and masonry structures for seismic resilience or load-rated upgrades by watching our FRCM on-demand webinar, and complete the accompanying test to earn continuing education credits. We’ve also answered a variety of product questions here.

FAQs ON STICK-FRAME ROOFS
What are the advantages of stick-frame roofs?
In some regions, stick-frame roofs are preferred because they provide flexibility in roof shapes, allowing more design options. This flexibility can help create open spaces inside the home or a more spacious attic. Our newest connectors have been developed to make stick-frame connections in roofs as intuitive as possible.

Why use connectors on your next site-built roof?
Our three-connector system simplifies construction and can make roofs stronger. To address the connection challenges presented by this roof design, our product development team created these new hangers. The new LSSJ field-adjustable jack hanger, LRUZ rafter hanger and HHRC field-slopeable hip-ridge connector install easily and provide long-lasting performance.

Simplify Continuous Load Path Connections
The Strong-Drive® SDWC Truss screw features a fully threaded shank that engages the entire length of the fastener, providing a secure connection between the roof and wall framing members. It can be used for top-plate-to-rafter, stud-to-top-plate, sole-to-rim and stud-to-sole connections, making it the ideal fastener for constructing a continuous load path. The screw’s orange topcoat makes inspections quick and easy. Watch the video to see the many installation applications of the code-listed Strong-Drive SDWC Truss screw.
