Simpson Strong-Tie Supports Hurricane Preparedness
Simpson Strong-Tie is collaborating with the nonprofit Federal Alliance for Safe Homes (FLASH) and its partners in support of #HurricaneStrong, a national hurricane resilience initiative to raise public awareness about hurricane readiness.
In support of #HurricaneStrong, the company helped sponsor NOAA's Hurricane Awareness Tour (HAT) where NOAA aircrafts visited five cities along the Gulf Coast last week. On May 18, the tour stopped in Mobile, AL, for Strengthen Your Home Day. Simpson Strong-Tie engineers were on hand to answer questions about how to improve a home's resilience to hurricanes and high-wind events. This year, the tour was also held in conjunction with Hurricane Preparedness Week.
